Ember's fourth litter
Ember’s 2025 litter arrived in late March, sired by our beloved teddy-bear, Murray. We absolutely love the combination these two produce — their puppies are consistently beautiful in temperament and appearance. This was Ember’s first litter where females outnumbered the males: five girls and three boys.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have Ember as such a devoted and nurturing mother. Her puppies from all her litters to date are remarkably healthy, consistent in size and weight and thrive from the moment they are born.
One of the highlights of this litter was selecting eight wonderful families — including one returning family choosing up their second Murraygolden puppy. We share the experience together of watching the puppies grow from zero to 8 weeks.
It’s always such a rewarding experience for us to match our puppies with loving homes. Every pup from this litter was especially affectionate, and we cherished the time spent raising them. For their first eight weeks, they were truly part of our family, receiving all the love and care we could give. This foundation makes a world of difference — and is a big reason why our puppies transition so smoothly into their forever homes.
From Wilbur's owners -- I am absolutely in love with Wilbur, he is the most perfect boy - a beautiful mix of cheeky, playful, cuddly and loving! He has a beautiful nature and temperament - a true testament to all of the incredible work Karen and Tim put into their puppies. Wilbur’s parents - Ember and Murray are stunning Golden’s, who offer different characteristics - Wilbur having the perfect mix of both. Wilbur has settled into our home easily, the blanket we got with his dad Murray’s scent comforted Wilbur for his transition. Having grown up with Golden Retriever’s, I couldn’t ever choose another breed. I researched breeders for a long time, and found Karen and Tim at Murraygold were a perfect fit for me. Karen and Tim were so thorough, and dedicate so much time, love and energy to their Murraygold puppies. The weekly Pupdates were always a highlight of my week! So grateful for everything and looking forward to staying in touch with Wilbur’s families!

From Octavia's owners -- We are overjoyed to have our second puppy from Murray Goldens join our family and workplace. Octavia [Otte] is the cutest and most affectionate little girl and she has bonded immediately with her big brother Rupert and elder sister Tilly. Rupert and Otte have Ember and Murray as their mum and dad so these true siblings are acting like shadows. Just like three years ago with Rupert, the whole process of having Otte join us was easy, stress free and professionally handled. Importantly, the regular contact, photos and information from Karen and Tim not only built the excitement of having a new puppy, it also made the whole experience seemless and enjoyable. Many people have said we are crazy to have three golden retrievers, but to be honest it’s been a breeze. Otte and Rupert play endlessly [then crash to sleep] while Tilly simply watches on like a dowager queen. We have started training and Otte is smart and eager to learn. As our dogs form the Customer Relations Team for our boutique hotel, it’s important that we have dogs that are super well behaved, quiet, very social, yet are totally ease with many different people, sounds and activities. Karen and Tim’s judgment in assisting us to select a puppy [twice now] that matches our unique “workforce” needs has been invaluable. Otte is a gorgeous addition and true sweetheart who is already making many friends and gaining fans as part of the Goldens of Walhalla team. We have no hesitation in recommending Murray Goldens as the care and attention shown by Karen and Tim speaks volumes for their commitment, dedication and love of the breed. As to we live a long distance from NE Victoria, we give special thanks to them for being so friendly and accommodating to fit in with the odd hours of our hospitality business to make puppy selection and collection a breeze.
