We're incredibly excited to announce that we have two planned litters for Spring/Summer 2026.

🐾 Ember & Murray – Final Planned Litter

Ember has officially come into season, with puppies anticipated to be born towards the end of September 2026, subject to a successful mating.

​

This will be Ember's final litter, making it a very special one. Puppies from previous Ember × Murray litters have been exceptional, with several families returning to welcome a second Murraygold puppy into their home.

​

We currently anticipate limited availability of female puppies from this litter. If you are interested, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible before we open expressions of interest more broadly.

🐾 Nova & Murray – First Planned Litter

We're also excited to be planning Nova's first litter, with her expected to come into season within the next 4–6 weeks, with puppies born during October-November 2026.

​

Subject to a successful mating with Murray, we currently expect to have both male and female puppy vacancies, with places available for approximately four loving families.

Nova has inherited the beautiful temperament, intelligence and trainability that we value so highly at Murraygold, and we are looking forward to continuing our breeding program through her.

If you're considering adding a Golden Retriever to your family, we'd love to hear from you. We take great care in matching each puppy to the right home and encourage prospective families to contact us early to discuss our puppy application process.

How to advance register your interest for our 2026 litters. 

​

You are welcome to make an initial Expression of Interest (EOI) in advance but this does not guarantee you a puppy.  Only families who keep in touch following their initial EOI  (via email) up until when a litter is due are formally considered.  Often families change their minds in the months since initially contacting us, or source a puppy/dog from another source and subsequently don't let us know.

We find the right family are happy to wait for a quality puppy from a registered breeder.  The right family will want to keep in touch and be patient and wait for a puppy to become available.

Average waiting time for a puppy

​

Most families wait a minimum of 6-12 months for their puppy.  Good breeders will have long waiting lists - this is a good sign and you will need to be patient.

​

Booking or holding fees before puppies are born

​

Murraygold does not require any booking or holding fees to express your interest in a puppy.  We only require a deposit once puppies have been born and you have formally been offered a puppy from a given litter. Under most reasonable circumstances, deposits are refundable if you change your mind.

Contacting us to express your interest in a puppy

Every litter at Murraygold is carefully planned. We do not breed often and puppies are only available by reservation, to caring and responsible homes. Previous owners of Murraygold dogs will often be given first preference.

If you are a new family wishing to express your interest in a future planned litter, you are more than welcome to contact us via our contact page. 

We ask that new inquiries to us don't simply email us in an unpersonalised email (along with other registered breeders), asking us if we have any puppies available and their cost. Please personalise your request. We recommend you spend some time to provide us with some very helpful information, such as:

• information about yourself & your family

• why you are seeking a golden retriever from Murraygold

• what kind of home you could offer

• other pets you may have

• any other information you think might be good to know

Imagine if you were selling a treasured pup to a prospective family...what sort of home would you like your puppy to go to?  We have hundreds of enquiries and seek the BEST homes for our puppies.  We won't know unless you tell us!!
